Case Study — Final Edition

Makumbiri Game ParkA full digital presence, built from the ground up

Social media management, Google visibility, an original content library, a Base44-built website and a LinkedIn presence — five workstreams engineered to turn wildlife into bookings.

5 workstreams
6-month build
The brief

Great destination. Invisible online.

Makumbiri Game Park has the hardest asset to build and the easiest to lose: real wildlife, real views, real guest stories. The job was to convert that into a digital presence that ranks, converts and can be measured — without changing the character of the park.

What was holding growth back

  • A destination with strong word-of-mouth but almost no discoverable online presence.
  • Photos and footage spread across staff phones — no brand-consistent content library.
  • Enquiries arrived through personal WhatsApp chats only, so nothing could be measured or followed up.

What we set out to achieve

  • Be found when people search for a game park or safari day out in Zimbabwe.
  • Publish a consistent, ownable stream of wildlife and guest content.
  • Give the park a fast, mobile-first website with a single, tracked enquiry path.
  • Open a B2B channel for corporate retreats, schools and tour operators.
The work

Five workstreams, one funnel

Each stream was built to feed the next: content feeds social, social and Google feed the website, the website captures the enquiry, and LinkedIn opens the higher-value conversations.

01

Social Media

Facebook, Instagram & TikTok

The park's social presence was rebuilt as a booking engine, not a noticeboard — every post either builds desire for the destination or moves someone closer to an enquiry.

What we built and ran

  • Facebook page rebuilt: new cover, services, opening hours, pinned booking post and a working WhatsApp button.
  • Five content pillars agreed and rotated — wildlife encounters, conservation work, guest stories, packages and behind-the-scenes ranger life.
  • Posting rhythm of 4–6 posts a week across Facebook and Instagram, with 3 short-form videos a week for TikTok.
  • Comment and DM management with a response window under two hours during park hours.
  • Instagram highlights restructured into Day Visits, Stayovers, Activities, Rates and FAQs.
02

Google

Business Profile, Maps, Search & Ads

Most of this market starts on Google — so the goal was simple: appear for the searches that already carry intent, and make the map pin impossible to miss.

What we built and ran

  • Google Business Profile claimed and rebuilt: correct category, service list, hours, seasonal notes and a weekly photo upload routine.
  • Map pin corrected and directions verified, with photo sets for the gate, reception and main viewpoints.
  • Review engine launched — a QR card and a WhatsApp follow-up that asks every guest for a review on departure.
  • Search campaign built around 'game park near me', 'safari day trip Zimbabwe' and 'family day out Harare', with location and hours ad extensions.
  • On-page SEO foundations on the new site: page titles, descriptions, image alt text, structured data and a submitted sitemap.
03

Content Creation

Photography, drone & video

Everything published came from our own shoots. A single monthly production day stocks a full month of content, so the feed never depends on stock photos.

What we built and ran

  • Monthly shoot day covering game drives, feeding times, accommodation, dining, sunsets and ranger teams.
  • Drone aerials of the park, watering holes and the entrance approach — used for hero images and reel openers.
  • Roughly 30 short-form videos cut per month from each shoot: vertical, captioned, hook-first.
  • A branded caption bank and template set so staff can post without design help.
  • Organised asset library with a signed-off usage list, so every image is cleared for ads and print.
04

Base44 Website

Design, build, publish & maintain

Built entirely on Base44 by our team — no template purchase, no developer handover. One site that carries the destination story and captures every enquiry.

What we built and ran

  • Full site built: home, about the park, wildlife, activities, accommodation, rates, gallery, visitor info and contact.
  • Mobile-first throughout, since most visitors arrive from a social link on a phone.
  • Enquiry form writing straight into the park's enquiry inbox and admin dashboard, tagged by source.
  • WhatsApp click-to-chat on every page, plus click-to-call for gate and bookings.
  • Photo gallery and short video sections so the content library is visible on the site, not just on social.
  • Published on the park's own domain with SEO fields, sitemap and a fast, lightweight build.
05

LinkedIn

B2B demand & credibility

The final piece. LinkedIn is where the higher-value bookings live — corporate retreats, team days, school trips and tour operators — so the park got a voice there too.

What we built and ran

  • Company page created and completed: banner, logo, location, services, overview and a call to action for partnership enquiries.
  • Positioned around three buyer groups: HR teams booking retreats, schools planning trips and inbound tour operators.
  • Weekly post cadence mixing park updates, conservation stories and a quiet 'book the whole park' offer.
  • Founder and manager profiles optimised, with a simple employee advocacy routine for the team.
  • Direct outreach and connection lists built for HR and travel-trade decision makers, with a shared inbox for replies.
How it connects

Attention on social, intent on Google, proof on the site

1

Content & social

Wildlife reels and guest stories earn attention from the right audience.

2

Google & ads

High-intent searches meet a complete profile, reviews and a live campaign.

3

Base44 website

The story closes on a fast site with rates, activities and proof.

4

Enquiry → booking

One tracked form and a WhatsApp line turn interest into a confirmed visit.

The outcome

Six months of compounding presence

6×
Monthly social reach, month 1 to month 6

4.7★
Average review rating built from near zero

420

Every enquiry now arrives with a source attached, so spend can be judged against bookings.
The park appears on the map for local safari and day-visit searches, not just by name.
A month of content can be produced in one shoot day, from a cleared asset library.
The website is owned and editable by the park's own team.
Corporate and school bookings have a professional front door on LinkedIn.
The handover

Built to be owned, not rented

The final deliverable was independence: accounts in the park's name, content they can reuse, and a website their team can update without a developer.

Everything handed over

  • Brand content library: shoot archive, drone footage and cleared image sets.
  • Caption bank, hook list and story templates for the park's own team.
  • Google Business Profile and Ads accounts, transferred and documented.
  • Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and LinkedIn pages fully set up and handed over.
  • Base44 website with admin access and a one-page editing guide.
  • Monthly reporting template tying enquiries back to source and spend.
